What can cause allergies?

About 40% of us suffer from some form of allergies, and I will explain in here what cause allergies. And they’re particularly bad during spring and fall, when pollen and mold are high. But allergies aren’t just about a runny nose and scratchy throat. In fact, a negative reaction in your immune system is what can cause allergy. People with allergies have an inherited (genetic) predisposition for developing hypersensitivity to inhaled and ingested substances (allergens) that are harmless to other people. This is generally caused by a failure in our T cells function all over our immune system, making us more vulnerable.You must know all the causes of allergy in order to get proper treatment on time.

Some of the risk factors that cause allergy are: family or personal history of asthma, eczema, hay fever, or hives, exposure to environmental pollutants or chemicals, chronic ingestion of allergenic foods that weakens our immune function, histamines, excessive intake of saturated fat (meat, dairy) and refined foods, chronic stress. There are many foods that contain allergenic ingredients, and you must know that so you can prevent allergic reactions to them. Some of the most common ones are nuts, seafood, wheat, etc.

Allergy causes can vary, for example, as I previously mentioned there is chronic stress, and that can be detrimental to the immune system. Forms of stress include mental/emotional stress, inadequate nutrition, chronic viral, bacterial, parasitic, or fugal infections, and repeated exposures to antigens in foods, chemicals, pollens, molds are other type of allergy cause.

Chronic ingestion of allergenic foods (also known as “food allergies”) is another common risk factor that becomes one of the most common allergies causes, since it weakens our immune function and leads to an increase in or aggravation or symptoms. You need to consider what you eat and any food allergies so you can get proper treatment.

After knowing the causes of allergies, we have to focus now on the different methods of treatment available for them. Some of the most common ways to handle allergies are: Antihistamines, decongestants, cromolyn sodium, nasal steroid sprays, eye drops, Medications, Allergen immunotherapy and avoidance (avoiding contact with the allergenic element).

Drink enough water, avoid food dyes, colorings, preservatives, additives, and food allergies, avoid dietary sources of arachidonic acid (found in animal products). Knowing what factors cause allergies will not only keep your health in good standing, but it will also prevent you from having to deal with other physical problems.
